How to report

If you see content or behaviour that breaks the Community Guidelines, tell us. Every report is reviewed by a person.

The steps in the app

  1. Open the profile, post, comment, or chat you want to report.
  2. Tap the menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Select “Report”.
  4. Pick a reason from the list and add a short description if you think it will help.
  5. Submit. You’ll receive a confirmation right away.

If the in-app feature isn’t available or the case is urgent, email us directly at info@socialmama.app.

What can be reported

  • a profile;
  • a profile photo;
  • a post;
  • a comment;
  • a reaction;
  • a chat;
  • a specific message, when the feature is available;
  • behaviour outside the app, when it is linked to contact that began through SocialMama.

Reasons you can select

Fake profile · harassment · threat · sexual content · discrimination · fraud · spam · risk to a child · publishing personal data · medical misinformation · other violation.

What happens next

  • We review the report within 24 hours of receiving it.
  • Reports of immediate risk, threats, sexual harassment, risk to a child, fraud, or publishing of sensitive data are handled as a priority, ahead of the rest.
  • When we find a violation, we remove the content and take action against the relevant profile — from a warning to permanent termination of access for a serious violation.
  • Submitting a report does not guarantee that the content or profile will be removed. Each decision is made based on the available information, the applicable rules, and the specific context.
  • We are not obliged to disclose the identity of the person who reported.

Report in good faith. Deliberately false or malicious reports can themselves be a violation of the Community Guidelines.

Reporting illegal content

If you believe the content is illegal, rather than simply incompatible with the Community Guidelines, point to the specific content, where it is located, and why you consider it illegal. You don’t need to cite a legal provision, but give us enough information to make a good-faith assessment. We will notify you of our decision.

If the life or health of a person or child is in immediate danger, call 112. The national child helpline is 116 111. SocialMama is not an emergency service.

The full rules on reporting and moderation are in the Community Guidelines, sections 21–26.
