How to block a user
You can block any user you don’t want to interact with. You owe no explanation — neither to her, nor to us.
The steps in the app
- Open the user’s profile or your chat with her.
- Tap the menu in the top-right corner.
- Select “Block”.
- Confirm.
What blocking stops
After blocking, the other user may be restricted from:
- sending you messages;
- starting a new chat with you;
- interacting with you;
- seeing part of your activity, subject to the app’s technical capabilities.
Blocking and reporting are not the same
Blocking stops contact, but it does not automatically mean SocialMama will penalise the other user. If there was a violation, submit a report too — that way our team learns about the case and can take action. How to report →
How to see and manage blocked profiles
Go to Settings → Blocked users. From there you can view the list and unblock a profile if you decide to.
